trumpet fields - look design
Local film maker Daniel Kehelly, decided that for his project 'Trumpet Fields' he wanted to achieve an aesthetic that emulated the look of motion picture film.
We previewed the looks on top of footage taken from a test shoot, which was shot on location where the majority of the film would take place.
Daniel settled on a profiled Kodak 200T negative I created via my neural network, we then adjusted to his liking before finishing with a 2383 print emulation.
The film was shot on the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 2.5k.
The preview video above demonstrates the difference between the industry standard monitoring lut Rec-709 and the look created.
